Some years, it’s a struggle to find 10 movies that feel like classics … movies that will still deserve praise a decade or more in the future. This was not one of those years. In fact, the trick for 2012, was weeding through the bumper crop of great films in an effort to find the year’s absolute best. For my top 10 of 2012, read THIS STORY that I wrote for the Reno Gazette-Journal.
Looks like I better get movie watching because I’d only seen 1 of your choices (Les Miserables, which I LOVED!). I also loved Perks of Being a Wallflower. Did you see that?

I really liked “Wallflower.” It didn’t quite make my top 10, but it is high on my list!

Happy New Year! Other movies I liked this year Brave, ParaNorman, Friends with Kids, The Hobbit, Bully, and Pirates: Band of Misfits. I think Wallflower was the first movie I can remember that is nostalgic about my high school years. Maybe that means I’m getting old?… 🙂

I think we’re all getting old. 🙂 I liked “Brave” and “ParaNorman” a lot, too. It was a good year for animation.
