I think you’re right which is why I’m not watching this year. Another year where the Academy gets it wrong. The Revenant was an experience but after a while it felt like someone playing the same low note on the piano over and over again. We get it already! Spotlight deserves to win. It was a perfectly executed film IMO. It frustrates me.

It’s not my favorite film. I love “The Martian” and “Spotlight.” I wouldn’t completely rule “Spotlight” out though. And there are some who think “The Big Short” will pull it out. This is the most competitive year in recent memory.
